The Orange Packers and Forklift Operators training programme promoted by Fundación Novaterra, in collaboration with Fundación “la Caixa”’s Incorpora programme, concluded a few weeks ago with an outstanding result: all ten participants secured employment.

The programme, which started on 15 September, was aimed at unemployed people or those facing greater barriers to entering the labour market, with the goal of facilitating access to one of the most relevant sectors in the Ribera region: logistics and agri-food.

The training consisted of a total of 180 hours of theory and hands-on learning, and included 60 hours of non-work placement training at Motilla’s facilities (Juan Motilla S.L.) in Carcaixent, where participants were integrated into the real day-to-day operations and carried out tasks related to citrus handling and grading.

The final outcome (a 100% job placement rate) confirms the effectiveness of a model based on training aligned with real market needs and direct collaboration with local companies. In Motilla’s case, the initiative has also had continuity: today, several of the participants continue working as part of the company’s team, consolidating a genuine pathway into employment.
